Chair - Financial Planning Standards Board Council
The Financial Planning Standards Board sets the global standards for the Certified Financial Planner certification. The council represents the 26 member nations and 170, 000 financial planners that participate in the Certified Financial Planner program worldwide.

Neil was elected Chair in 2014, and his term extended again in 2016. The FPA is the professional association for financial planners in Australia, with over 12,000 members of which more than 5,500 are Certified Financial Planners.

1999 - 2002
General Manager MLC / General Manager National Personal Client Services
Neil held a number of Sydney based senior roles in MLC and National Australia Bank, the last of which was as the General Manager of a dealership with over 120 planners. He managed the business from its inception, building the planner and support staff as well as providing leadership on a client focused planning model. Neil also spent time as the Chairman of ThreeSixty research committee, helping to select products for the dealership approved lists of over 1000 planners. During this time he was directly responsible for paraplanning, research, training, IT support, adviser remuneration, and strategic alliances for the MLC advice businesses.
1992 - 1999
Vice President of BT Funds Management
Neil worked for BT for just over 7 years and spent time with hundreds of planners around Queensland. He was a regular seminar speaker and helped many advisers grow their businesses.
